Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated in a post on his social media account, "I learned with sadness that a Turkish C-130 military cargo plane crashed on Georgian territory while traveling from Azerbaijan to Turkey.

I express my solidarity with the Turkish people, the authorities, the armed forces, and all the rescue teams intervening at the scene.

I offer my condolences to the families of the victims," he said.
