Confirmation from Israel regarding Orban

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office issued a statement after Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said he would invite Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for whom the International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant, to his country.

In the statement made by the Prime Minister's Office, it was confirmed that Orban had invited Netanyahu to his country.

"THE ICC'S DECISION WILL HAVE NO EFFECT"

In a statement yesterday, Orban had claimed that the ICC decision "may look like a legal decision, but it actually carries political motives."

Orban stated, "There is no other option here, we must defy this decision. Later today, I will invite Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to Hungary.

If he decides to come here, I will guarantee him that the International Criminal Court's decision will have no effect in Hungary and that we will not comply with the terms of this decision," he said.
