In a briefing to the Knesset Finance Committee yesterday, Yaron shared the estimate that "direct war expenditures for the years 2023-2025, including compensation and other war-related civilian expenses, will reach 255 billion shekels."
Emphasizing that Israel's financial situation is sound, Yaron stated, "We are in a good financial position. Israel has good experience in recovering from previous security events."
According to Bank of Israel data, while economic growth in 2024 was expected to be 3.4 percent, in line with IMF projections, growth for this year is now expected to be revised to 0.4 percent following the war on Gaza.
