‘Covid-19 and flu’ alarm in Greece
Following a sudden surge in Covid-19 and flu cases in Greece, a warning has been issued to wear masks in indoor spaces, hospitals, and public transport.
During today's meeting of the National Council for Infectious Diseases, attention was drawn to the rising number of Covid-19 and flu cases in recent weeks.
In the meeting, where the mandatory use of masks was also discussed, it was decided to strongly recommend wearing masks in indoor spaces, hospitals, and public transport instead of imposing a mandate.
In a statement released by the National Public Health Organization of Greece (EODY), it was reported that 60 people had lost their lives due to Covid-19 in the previous week.
