Criticism for Netanyahu from the Israeli Chief of General Staff!
It has been reported that Israeli Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that the army is forced to re-attack certain areas because the government lacks a strategy regarding who will govern the region following the attacks in Gaza.
Israeli Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi criticized Netanyahu over a "lack of strategy" in Gaza.
According to a report by Israel's Channel 13 television, during a security meeting held over the weekend, Halevi criticized the failure to develop and announce a "day-after strategy" regarding who will govern the region following the attacks in Gaza.
Noting that they are carrying out renewed attacks in Jabalia, in the northern Gaza Strip, Halevi said that "unless there is a move to establish a governance other than Hamas" in the region, they will be forced to repeat attacks in other places as well. Describing this process as "endless," Halevi criticized Netanyahu.
On the other hand, according to a report by Channel 12 television, it was noted that Netanyahu argued with Ronen Bar, the Director of the Internal Security Agency Shin Bet (Shabak), and that the Prime Minister reacted to the Director due to a strategy planning meeting he held with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The Israeli army had expanded its land and air attacks simultaneously across all cities in the Gaza Strip after requesting that Palestinians in the city of Rafah and many areas in the northern Gaza Strip move to designated "safe zones."
