Israel's Army Radio announced that Israeli hackers carried out a cyberattack on Iran's fuel supply system.
In a statement regarding the matter, the Iranian Passive Defense Organization had stated that they could not confirm the cyberattack allegations. However, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji confirmed the claims that Israel had carried out a cyberattack on the internet system used at gas stations.
"THE CONSPIRACY WILL BE ENDED"
Owji made statements to members of the press at a gas station on Shariati Street in Tehran.
Minister Owji said, "Since the Zionist and American enemies have taken blows on other fronts, they want to put the people in difficulty and hardship through this method. This conspiracy will be ended immediately."
Reminding that a similar cyberattack had occurred in previous years, Owji noted that some gas stations were operating manually and that the problem was planned to be resolved within a few hours.
WARNING NOT TO GO TO GAS STATIONS
In a statement made by the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum, the public was asked not to go to gas stations unless it was an emergency until the problem was resolved.
Deputy Oil Minister Jalil Salari had noted that the problem was occurring in 60 percent of the gas stations and that the stations were providing manual service offline.
