The death toll continues to rise in the attacks Israel has carried out on Lebanon, despite the agreement reached between the US and Iran to end the war.

In a statement made by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was stated that as a result of the airstrikes and artillery shelling launched by Israel tonight in the Nabatieh region in the south of the country as well as various other areas, the number of those who lost their lives has risen to 47, and the number of injured has risen to 97.

It was noted that the highest number of casualties occurred in Harouf, where 9 people were killed and 14 were injured.

The ministry also reported that the total death toll since March 2, when Israel began its intense attacks on the country, has risen to 3,980.

Ceasefire had been reached between Hezbollah and Israel

An unnamed US official had stated that Israel and Hezbollah had agreed on a ceasefire that would begin today at 16:00 local time. The US official stated that Hezbollah and Israel had reached an agreement with the help of US and Qatari negotiators and Iran, saying, "We understand that Israel and Hezbollah are currently in a ceasefire following the mutual attacks that took place earlier today."
