Death toll in Gaza exceeds Russia-Ukraine balance sheet

Israel's attacks on Gaza continue following the comprehensive attack launched by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, on the morning of October 7 under the name "Al-Aqsa Flood."

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israel has killed 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, in its month-long attacks, while at least 24,000 people have been injured.

In the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, Israeli forces and Jewish settlers have killed 155 Palestinians.

Accordingly, the number of civilians massacred in Gaza in 31 days has surpassed the number of civilians killed in Ukraine. The fact that more civilian casualties occurred in Gaza in as short a time as one month than in the Russia-Ukraine War reveals the intensity of Israel's attacks.

5 children are killed every hour in Gaza

In Gaza, where half of the 2.3 million population consists of children, according to World Health Organization (WHO) data, more than 40 percent (3,760) of the 7,028 Palestinians killed in the conflicts that have been ongoing since October 7 were recorded as children. In this context, 5 children are killed every hour in Gaza.

The UK-based non-governmental organization Save the Children announced that the number of children killed in Palestine in the last 3 weeks is higher than the number of children killed in one year in conflicts worldwide in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
