Death toll in Iran's 'high inflation' protests rises to 4: Police vehicles set on fire

In Iran, the protests that began due to high inflation continue, and the death toll has increased. In the city of Azna in Iran's Lorestan province, during the protest demonstrations, 3 people lost their lives and 17 others were injured in the incidents. According to the Iran-based Fars News Agency, today at 18:00,It was reported that a group ofprotesters entered the police stationand that a clash occurred betweenthe parties during this time. The report noted that police teams were pelted with stones during the events, and some police vehicleswere set on fire.

During the protest demonstrations held in the city of Malard in Iran's Tehran province,30 people weretaken intocustody.were taken into custody. Deputy District Governor Mansur Saleki stated in astatement that citizens wereabusing their legal right to protest and disrupting security and public order in the district,and on thesegrounds, 30 people weredetained last night.taken into custody.

Saleki stated that investigations revealed that some of the individuals taken into custody had come to Malard from surrounding districts, and thatstated that the suspects were under the supervision of security unitsand that the judicial processinitiated against themisongoing. Regarding the incidents,Saleki stated that other individuals linked to the events have been identified, and effortsto apprehendthese individuals are continuing, and that legal action will be taken against them.
