Death toll in Lebanon rises to 2,011: Israel continues its attacks

The Israeli army's attacks on Lebanon, which have been ongoing since October 8, 2023, continued on their 362nd day. It was reported that 9,535 people have been injured and 2,011 people have been killed in the attacks.

In a written statement issued by the Disaster Management Unit affiliated with the Lebanese government, information was provided regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon.

The statement noted that the Israeli army carried out 153 airstrikes on various regions of Lebanon yesterday, resulting in 37 deaths and 151 injuries.

It was recorded that the number of people who have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel on Lebanon since October 8 has risen to 2,011, and the number of injured has reached 9,535.

MIGRATION INCREASES IN LEBANON

The statement also reported that the total number of displaced persons in 931 shelters prepared in various parts of the country has risen to 172,100.

The Israeli army, which has been engaged in controlled clashes with Hezbollah on the Lebanon-Israel border since October 8, 2023, detonated pagers and radios used by Hezbollah on September 17-18, and began launching airstrikes on the Bekaa and Baalbek regions as well as southern Lebanese cities on September 23.

On September 30, the Israeli army announced that it had begun limited and intensive ground attacks targeting Hezbollah's infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These developments triggered a major wave of migration in the country. So far, around 200,000 Lebanese have fled to the north of the country and to Syria.
