Death toll rises in Afghanistan earthquake
In the earthquake that occurred in Afghanistan, 800 people lost their lives and 2,500 people were injured.
The number of people who lost their lives in the earthquake that occurred in eastern Afghanistan has risen. Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated in a press conference, "In total, 800 people lost their lives in Kunar.
Likewise, 2,500 people were injured. The earthquake struck the Nurgal district, Suki district, Watapur district, Manuki district, Chapa Dara, and various other regions. Rescue teams have reached the Mazar Dara area of the Nurgal district," he said.

Sharing the death toll figures for other provinces in the country, Mujahid said, "So far, 12 people have lost their lives in Nangarhar province. Additionally, 255 people were injured. According to information received so far from Laghman province, there are 58 injured, with no loss of life.

However, a large number of houses were destroyed in the region. It was also reported that 4 people were injured in the Nurgram district of Nuristan province. However, no issues were recorded in the other districts of Nuristan.
Furthermore, 5 houses were destroyed in the Abshar district of Panjshir province; thankfully, there was no loss of life. However, many houses were damaged," he stated.
