In a statement on his X account, U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kennedy shared the new decision regarding COVID-19 vaccines, which had previously been a subject of debate in the country.

Kennedy announced that from now on, the COVID-19 vaccine will no longer be among the "recommended vaccines" for healthy children and pregnant women.

In his statement, the U.S. official said, "As of today, the COVID vaccine has been removed from the vaccination schedule recommended by the CDC (U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) for healthy children and healthy pregnant women.

Last year, the Biden administration urged healthy children to get the COVID vaccine once again, despite there being no clinical data to support a strategy of repeated boosters in children."

U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kennedy had made statements during the election process that sparked public debate regarding the use of the COVID-19 vaccine.
