Details of the G20 Leaders' Summit program announced

On the first day of the summit, Saturday, November 22, leaders will meet in 2 separate sessions.

In the 1st Session, to be held between 15:00 and 18:00 local time, the topics of building economies, the role of trade, development financing, and debt burden will be discussed under the theme of "Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Growth Without Leaving Anyone Behind."

In the 2nd session, between 18:15 and 19:30, disaster risk reduction, climate change, just energy transition, and food systems will be evaluated under the title "A Resilient World - The Contribution of the G20." At the end of the day, leaders will come together for the Leaders' Dinner.

Second Day: A Fair Future and Artificial Intelligence

The 3rd session, to be held on Sunday, November 23, will take place between 10:00 and 13:00. While the title of the session is "A Fair and Reasonable Future for All," topics that shape the future such as critical minerals, decent work, and artificial intelligence will be on the table. The summit will conclude with the "Closing Session and Presidency Handover Ceremony" to be held afterward.

Trump and Putin will not attend the summit

US President Donald Trump had announced that he would not attend the summit, arguing that South Africa should not be in the G20. No high-level official from Washington will come to Johannesburg either. Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be at the summit due to the war in Ukraine.
