US President Donald Trump made notable remarks regarding the ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran. In an exclusive interview with the US press, Trump stated that the parties have made significant progress in the process of reaching an agreement to end the war.
Speaking to US-based CBS News, Trump stated that under the final agreement, Iran would be prevented from accessing any nuclear weapons, while adding that the Tehran administration's enriched uranium resources would also be "controlled in a satisfactory manner." Trump said, "I will only sign a deal where we get everything we want."
The US President said he would evaluate the latest draft agreement presented by Iran with his advisors today and could make a decision by tomorrow on whether to restart the war. Trump stated, "Either we reach a good deal, or I will bomb them into a thousand pieces."
In his assessment of a potential deal, Trump said, "There is a 50-50 chance of a good deal. Otherwise, we will completely eliminate them."
In this regard, Trump is expected to hold a meeting in the coming hours with Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, his son-in-law and former senior advisor Jared Kushner, and US Vice President James David Vance.

The US-based news site Axios reported that Trump is also expected to hold a meeting with leaders of Gulf countries during the day to discuss the Iran issue. Sources indicated that Egypt, Pakistan, and Turkey might also participate in the meeting.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei had stated that an agreement between the parties was "both very far and very close" and reported that they had reached the final stage in the process of preparing a 14-point memorandum of understanding.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that progress had been made in the process and said, "there could be new news regarding the war today, tomorrow, or in a few days."
Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir held meetings today with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf as part of his contacts in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
