THEY WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTION

The party's official name was announced as "Deutsche Partei für die ökonomischer Neuordnung essentieller Ressourcen," meaning "German Party for the Economic Reorganization of Essential Resources."

The name "Döner Party" emerged from the abbreviation formed by the initials of the party's official name.

The party, which is collecting signatures as well as döner and kebab donations on its website, needs to reach 27,000 signatures to be able to participate in the election.
