It was emphasized that the summit aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, consolidate efforts toward ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new chapter for regional security and stability.

It was stated that the international summit will be held within the scope of Trump's vision and efforts to establish peace in the region and end conflicts worldwide.

CEASEFIRE AND HOSTAGE EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN GAZA

U.S. President Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of a ceasefire plan for Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt.

While the agreement was signed in Egypt, where the negotiations were held, it entered into force in the early hours of October 10 with the approval of the Israeli government.

It was announced that the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip went into effect as of 12:00 on the same day, following the withdrawal of the Israeli army to the "yellow line" as specified in the agreement.

In the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip from October 8, 2023, until the ceasefire agreement, 67 thousand 682 people lost their lives and 170 thousand 33 people were injured.
