Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said that the cost of rebuilding the Gaza Strip, which has been under relentless attacks by Israel since October 7, 2023, is 90 billion dollars.
According to a report by Egypt's Al-Ahram newspaper, President Sisi spoke at a symposium organized by the Egyptian Army in the capital, Cairo.
Sisi stated that he had requested Egyptian state institutions to prepare a report on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to heavy bombardment by Israel, and said, "The cost of rebuilding Gaza is 90 billion dollars."
On the other hand, according to the Al-Qahera News Channel, Sisi expressed that what is happening in the Gaza Strip represents a challenge to both Egypt and the entire region.
In the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 30,960 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 13,430 children and 8,900 women, and 72,524 people have been injured.
While it is reported that there are still thousands of dead under the rubble, civilian infrastructure is also being destroyed by targeting hospitals and educational institutions where the public has taken shelter.
