Elon Musk responds to sexual harassment criticisms regarding Grok
Elon Musk, owner of the social media app X, has claimed that the backlash against the platform's AI chatbot service, Grok, is merely an "excuse" for censorship.
Musk claimed thatthe growing criticismdirected at Grok,which allows for the creationof nude and sexuallyexplicit images, isan attempt to find an"excuse for censorship."
Responding to the criticisms on the same platform, Musk stated, "They are looking for any excuse to censor." Regulatory bodies in the European Union (EU) and some
countries in Asia have raised concerns that X's AI chatbot, Grok, is generating sexual content involving people, including children.to its ability to generatecontent, sparkingbacklash.
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) stated in anannouncement on January 3 that Grok was being misusedto generate obscene or sexual content.regarding the allegation that it waswould summon the management of the company X to testifyand announced that it would launch an investigation.
Musk stated that the use of Grok for the production of illegalcontent, and that thiscontent is directlytheresponsibility ofstated that it wouldlead tothe sameresults.
Regarding this featureofGrok Following the complaints, the X management announced on January 9 that the chatbot's image generation featurewould only be available to paid subscribers.Xrepostedthis statement, adding,
"Illegal content on Xcontent, including child sexual abusematerial, we are taking measures againstit, we areremoving suchcontent,permanently suspending accounts, and when necessary, reporting to local aWe are cooperating withgovernments and law enforcement," he stated.
