Elon Musk to activate Starlink for Gaza
Elon Musk has announced that they will activate Starlink satellites for Gaza.
Calls had been mounting for the use of Starlink, a satellite constellation built by the American satellite company SpaceX to provide satellite internet access, in response to the internet blackout in Gaza.
SpaceX owner Elon Musk stated, "Starlink will support connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in Gaza."
Commenting on a post on the X platform by Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which read, "Cutting off all communication to a population of 2.2 million is unacceptable. Journalists, medical professionals, humanitarian efforts, and the innocent are all in danger. I do not know how such an act can be defended. The United States has historically denounced this practice," Musk announced that Starlink would support connectivity in Gaza.

Musk also responded to a call shared with the message, "Gaza is under bombardment, internet and telecommunications are cut off. They urgently need Starlink," by saying, "We will support the UN and other internationally recognized aid groups."
