Businessman Elon Musk will attend the rally of Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the US. Trump had been the target of an armed attack at a previous Pennsylvania rally, surviving the incident with a minor ear injury.

Elon Musk plans to attend the rally on Saturday (October 5) in Butler, Pennsylvania, at the same location where the former president narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in July.

The billionaire businessman replied to Trump's post about the rally on his social media platform X, saying, 'I will be there to support!'

Trump and his campaign team had stated that the rally would be a way to honor those who lost their lives and were injured.

ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON TRUMP

20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks fired shots with an assault rifle, injuring the former president, killing Corey Comperatore, who was attending the rally, and seriously wounding two others.

Trump and his campaign team reported that Comperatore's family and those injured in the armed attack would attend the event.

The presidential candidate's daughter-in-law Lara Trump said in a statement to Fox News, 'What you will see tomorrow in Butler is the kind of strength and leadership we are desperately waiting for in the White House. I think it will be an emotional rally.'

The Pittsburgh Gazette reported that the Secret Service expects around 60,000 people for the event planned for Saturday.

Trump, who survived the attack, had said, 'God was on my side,' and this 'divine' moment also produced one of the most influential images of the 2024 presidential election and all elections in US history; Trump stood up in front of Secret Service agents with his face covered in blood, raised his fist, and shouted, 'Fight!'
