Emergency landing for plane after fire in galley
A plane traveling from the U.S. state of Texas to North Carolina was forced to make an emergency landing after a fire broke out in the area where food for service is prepared.
According to a report by NBC News, a "Boeing 737-800" aircraft belonging to the airline "American Airlines" took off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport bound for North Carolina.
The airline announced that the plane was diverted to Houston due to a "technical issue" after an oven in the aircraft's galley caught fire shortly after takeoff.
The plane, which was scheduled to land in North Carolina, landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston due to the technical problem. Fire crews responded to the fire on the aircraft.
