Emphasis on a new era in the Strait of Hormuz: 'A new page is turning'

Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei, in a written message released for National Persian Gulf Day, drew attention to the geopolitical importance of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf. Using the phrase, "A new page is turning in the Strait of Hormuz," Khamenei emphasized that the US and foreign actors will not have a presence in the region. Stating that the region shares a common destiny with neighboring countries, he said, "Foreigners coming from thousands of kilometers away have no place in these waters."

DETAILS OF THE NEW MANAGEMENT PLAN

Khamenei expressed that Iran aims to strengthen security in the Strait of Hormuz and prevent this strategic waterway from being used for malicious purposes. The Iranian leader used the following expressions:

"With the implementation of the new management in the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will ensure the security of the Persian Gulf region and put an end to the enemy's misuse of this waterway. The legal rules and implementation of the new management in the Strait of Hormuz will bring peace and development to all nations in the region, and its economic benefits will make our nation happy."

Furthermore, Khamenei emphasized that the scientific gains Iran has achieved through its nuclear and missile technologies will be considered "national capital" and that these gains will be protected as importantly as its borders.

Recalling the military operations of the US and Israel in the region in recent months, Khamenei stated that these plans have failed and that the peoples of the region will have an independent future from now on. Defining the Persian Gulf as a "unique and vital waterway for the global economy," the leader reiterated his view that the new era in the region will bring peace and development.
