President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Iranian President Raisi in Tashkent on the sidelines of the 16th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit.
While reiterating that Turkey is ready to act as a guarantor to end the attacks on Gaza, Erdoğan stated that the Islamic world must also increase pressure on Israel.
The meeting also addressed the humanitarian crisis resulting from Israel's attacks on Gaza, the steps that need to be taken for a solution, as well as bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran and regional issues.
"WE ARE FACING FANATICISM"
In his speech at the summit, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "73 percent of the nearly 11 thousand Gazans brutally killed by Israel are women and children. The Israeli administration, which has the full support of Western countries, continues to bomb schools, mosques, churches, hospitals, universities, and civilian settlements, trampling on every value related to humanity. We are facing a fanaticism that legitimizes even the slaughter of children. With the support of our Egyptian brothers, we have dispatched 10 plane-loads of humanitarian aid, exceeding 230 tons, to El-Arish Airport. Our preparations for sending two civilian humanitarian aid ships to the region are ongoing"
"THE WORLD'S GREATEST GENOCIDE IS BEING CARRIED OUT"
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated the following:
"The world's greatest genocide is currently being carried out in Gaza. As Iran, we hold the Western world and the US administration responsible for the continuation of the Zionists' attacks on Gaza." Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev added, "The threat of the war spreading to the region is becoming increasingly real."
