European Union updates terror list
The European Union (EU) has updated its terror list, adding two individuals from Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades.
In a statement from the EU Council, it was announced that Mohammed Deif, commander of Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, and his deputy, Marwan Issa, have been added to the terror list in response to the October 7 attacks on Israel.
The statement noted that, as a result, the two individuals will be subject to the freezing of their financial assets in EU member states and a ban on the flow of funds from within the EU.
