At least 3 officers have lost their lives in an explosion at a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department training facility in the US.
An explosion occurred at the Biscailuz Center Training Academy facility belonging to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in the southern US.
At least 3 officers lost their lives in the incident. In a statement from the Sheriff's Department, it was stated that the cause of the explosion is being investigated.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi stated in a post on her social media account that she had spoken with Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna and US Attorney for the Central District of California Bill Essayli regarding the incident.
Bondi described the explosion as a "horrific incident in which at least 3 people lost their lives." Bondi also said that federal agents are on the scene and are working to gather more information.
According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, citing unnamed law enforcement sources, the explosion occurred while a bomb squad was transporting some explosives.
