The Israeli press has claimed that an explosion occurred in a building belonging to the Iranian security system in the capital, Tehran.
Social media accounts close to Israeli intelligence alleged that the building belonged to the Iranian Ministry of Defense.
According to reports from Iranian state television, an explosion caused by an object occurred near Mellat Park in the center of the capital, Tehran.
The report, which stated that ambulances and first aid teams were dispatched to the area, noted that there were no deaths or injuries.
Speaking to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Tehran Deputy Governor Hamid Reza Goudarzi responded to a question about whether the incident was a terrorist attack by saying that "the cause of the explosion is being investigated in all its aspects."
