Explosion occurs in Putin's limousine: Suspected assassination attempt

In the Russian capital of Moscow, a limousine estimated to belong to President Vladimir Putin's official vehicle fleet caught fire following an explosion near the Federal Security Service (FSB) headquarters. The flames rising from the vehicle after the explosion were brought under control with the quick intervention of nearby restaurant employees. There were no injuries or loss of life in the incident.

It has not yet been clarified who was behind the wheel of the vehicle, which is allocated to the Kremlin's Presidential Property Management Department, or the cause of the explosion. Following the explosion, the street where the vehicle was located was covered in thick black smoke.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un

As part of the measures taken in recent years regarding Putin's security, it was announced that a nuclear response would be given to any assassination attempt. While Putin frequently uses his limousine fleet for official trips, he has gifted some of these vehicles to world leaders such as North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in the past.
