Families of Israeli hostages hold demonstration in Tel Aviv

Hundreds of people gathered on Begin Street in front of the Ministry of Defense complex to hold their first demonstration for the signing of a swap deal following the dismissal of former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who had announced that he had disagreements with Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding the return of the hostages.

Protesters, carrying Israeli flags, held banners, posters, and placards against Prime Minister Netanyahu and politicians in his government.

The protesters, who beat drums and blew whistles while calling for the immediate return of the Israeli hostages, hung a massive cloth banner on the overpass on Begin Street that read, "Why are they still in Gaza? 400 days."

NETANYAHU REFUSES TO AGREE

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is accused by the Israeli and international public of not making a hostage exchange deal with Hamas for political reasons.

It is stated that Benjamin Netanyahu's efforts to add additional clauses to the proposed draft agreement, and specifically his insistence on maintaining control over the Philadelphi Corridor, which is the Egypt-Gaza border line, have caused the negotiations to collapse.
