Famous director Norman Jewison has passed away
Director Norman Jewison, who left his mark on many productions throughout a career spanning over 50 years, has passed away.
Canadian director Norman Jewison has died at the age of 97.
Jewison, who was in the industry for over 50 years and was nominated for an Oscar for best director three times, received a lifetime achievement award in 1999.
Jewison's manager, Jeff Sanderson, stated in a statement that the famous director died at the age of 97.
Jewison, whose directed films were nominated for Oscars 46 times in various categories and won 12 Oscars, was known for productions such as "In the Heat of the Night", "The Russians Are Coming", "Moonstruck" and "Fiddler on the Roof".
