FBI: It is not true that we issued a terror threat warning for polling stations

The FBI issued a written statement regarding the matter.

The statement noted that a fake video had been circulated on behalf of the FBI, claiming that the FBI was advising U.S. citizens to cast their votes remotely due to a high terror threat at polling stations.

The statement read, "This video is not authentic and does not accurately reflect the current threat situation or the security at polling locations."

The statement also drew attention to another video that alleged prison administrations in some states were manipulating inmate votes and collaborating with a political party, warning, "This video is also fake and its content does not reflect the facts."

The statement noted that the FBI is working in close cooperation with state and local law enforcement to respond to threats against the election.

The statement, which included the phrase, "Attempts to mislead the public by spreading false content about FBI threat assessments and activities are considered to be aimed at undermining our democratic process and weakening confidence in the election system," called on all citizens to obtain information from reliable sources.

"NO INCIDENT AFFECTING ELECTION SECURITY"

Meanwhile, Cait Conley, a senior advisor at the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), informed reporters that there were "temporary infrastructure disruptions" due to weather and other reasons.

Conley stated, "There has been no incident at the national level that would affect the security of election infrastructure."

5 BOMB THREATS TO POLLING STATIONS

Fulton County Elections Director Nadine Williams noted in a press conference that two different polling stations in the state of Georgia were temporarily evacuated due to 5 bomb threats.

Williams stated that these threats were determined to be hoaxes.

Stating that the polling stations have resumed operations, Williams added that an application had been made for these centers to remain open for a little longer.

In the state of Missouri, roads were closed due to flooding, and access to many polling stations was restricted.

Local officials reported that voting could currently only take place at a single center in Missouri.

In the 60th presidential election, which pits Republican Donald Trump against Democrat Kamala Harris, the candidate who reaches 270 delegates wins the race. 

The winner of the presidential race will be officially sworn in and take office on January 20, 2025.
