FBI warns California against possible Iranian attack
According to reports in the US press, the FBI has raised its "alert level" against potential Iranian retaliation, warning of a possible drone attack on California.
Security agencies in the US have raised their alert level against potential Iranian retaliation scenarios.
According to a report by ABC News, the FBI recently warned police departments in California that Iran could launch unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from a point near the western coast.
The warning text, issued at the end of February, stated: "Based on information obtained in early February 2026, we have received intelligence that the Tehran administration plans to carry out a surprise attack in the event that the US attacks Iran."
However, the warning also emphasized that there is no 'additional information' regarding the timing, method, targets, or potential perpetrators of the alleged attack.
IRANIAN RETALIATIONS RECALLED
It was reported that the warning came following attacks launched by the Washington administration against Iran.
The report also recalled that Iran has previously retaliated against US targets in the Middle East with drone attacks.
