Fire alarm at the Davos World Economic Forum: Congress Center briefly evacuated

Moments of alarm occurred this morning at the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in the famous Swiss town of Davos. After smoke was spotted at the Congress Center, which serves as the hub for the forum, authorities evacuated the area for security reasons.

FOX Business reporter Edward Lawrence, who is at the forum, stated on social media that participants were moved out of the building due to smoke rising near the Congress Center. According to Lawrence, fire crews arrived at the scene quickly and ended the evacuation after completing necessary checks.

A report by the British news outlet LBC stated that the source of the smoke was a fire that broke out in a small wooden shed near the Congress Center. Fortunately, it was reported that the fire was brought under control before it could spread, and there were no casualties or property damage.

The forum's ongoing program returned to normal following the brief interruption.
