Fire at oil refinery in Cuba

Fire at oil refinery in Cuba

Cuba, which is facing an oil crisis, has been the scene of a frightening fire. According to reports in local media, a fire broke out for reasons yet to be determined in a storage facility at the Nico Lopez refinery, located in the capital Havana and the country's second-largest oil refinery.

While numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene, smoke rising from the refinery could be seen from kilometers away.

NO INJURIES OR LOSS OF LIFE

The Cuban Ministry of Energy and Mines announced that the fire was extinguished following intervention and that a detailed investigation into the incident has been launched. In the statement, which noted that the fire did not spread to the surrounding area and did not cause any injuries or loss of life, it was stated, "Following the containment of the fire, the Nico Lopez Refinery is continuing its normal operations."
