First 'right-wing coalition government' being formed in the Netherlands
In the Netherlands, far-right leader Geert Wilders has announced that four parties have reached an agreement on the first "right-wing coalition government." However, it remains unclear who will become the country's prime minister.
The anti-Islam and anti-immigrant Party for Freedom (PVV) emerged as the leading party in the country, winning a quarter of the seats in parliament.

In a statement to the press, Wilders said, "The good news is that we have reached an agreement among the negotiators, but of course, this will only be finalized once the parties in parliament also reach an agreement." Regarding the debate over the premiership, Wilders added, "We talked about the prime minister today, and we will return to this discussion later."
The agreement of four right-wing and far-right parties to form a coalition government is a first in the country's politics.
The coalition will include the Party for Freedom (PVV), the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), the New Social Contract (NSC), and the Farmer-Citizen Movement (BBB).
It is stated that during the negotiations, Wilders openly distanced himself from his anti-Islam stance and symbolically withdrew three draft laws.
