Flash claim regarding the US and Israel

Two US officials, who spoke to the American channel ABC News on the condition of anonymity, stated that the mission instructions for the aircraft carrier, which has been operating in the region since mid-October, will change soon.

The officials noted that the USS Gerald R. Ford, the largest and newest aircraft carrier in the country's inventory, along with the cruisers and destroyers accompanying it, will leave the Eastern Mediterranean in the "coming days" and return to its home port in Norfolk, Virginia.

The same officials added that there are still a large number of ships and cruisers in the region to support Israel, and that their support for Tel Aviv continues.

There has been no statement from the Pentagon regarding the matter yet.

Immediately following the Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin had ordered the aircraft carrier strike group to be sent to the Eastern Mediterranean to be ready to assist Israel.
