Flights temporarily suspended at Erbil Airport
Flights at Erbil International Airport in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) have been temporarily suspended due to drone attacks in the region.
US-Iran tensions continue to affect air traffic in the Middle East.
Following the targeting of the US Consulate in Erbil, the capital of the KRI, with drones in retaliation for US attacks on Iran, flights at Erbil International Airport have been temporarily suspended.
Erbil International Airport Director Ahmed Hoshiyar stated, "Due to the wave of attacks targeting the city of Erbil and its airspace, all flights landing and taking off at Erbil Airport have been temporarily suspended.
Flights will resume as soon as the security situation stabilizes and returns to normal," he said.
