Flights to Israel cancelled

Ireland-based airline Ryanair has announced that it has decided to cancel scheduled flights to Tel Aviv starting from February 27.

In the statement, the reason given for the decision was that Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport has been closed to use by low-cost airlines.

In its statement, Ryanair said, "Ryanair confirms that it has unfortunately cancelled its flight schedule to and from Tel Aviv starting from Tuesday, February 27, due to the fact that Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport is no longer accessible to low-cost, low-fare airlines."

The statement also noted that currently, only the high-cost Terminal 3 is being used at the airport in question.
