The construction of a floating bridge connecting the two banks of the Euphrates River in Syria has been completed through the cooperation of the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) and the Syrian army.

Turkey's Ambassador to Damascus, Nuh Yılmaz, announced in a post on his account on the American social media platform X that the bridge was completed on August 30, Victory Day. Yılmaz stated that the structure was built to replace the old bridge that was destroyed during a flood disaster.

Ambassador Yılmaz pointed out that this project is the second bridge work carried out in cooperation between the TAF and the Syrian army, stating, "The Turkish and Syrian armed forces are building the future together in peace as well."

Syrian Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Kasra also noted in a statement on his X account that the bridge was established to alleviate the transportation burden of the people in Deir ez-Zor.

In his post, Abu Kasra emphasized the cooperation with Turkey, saying, "I extend my deepest thanks to my brother, Turkish Minister of National Defense General Yaşar Güler, for his intensive efforts in strengthening the trust and cooperation between our countries."
