Foreign Minister Fidan emphasizes support in Kosovo
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated, 'We attach great importance to the unity and security of Kosovo.'
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Kosovars in the garden of the Mamusha Municipality. Fidan said, 'As Turkey, we truly attach great importance to the unity, integrity, security, peace, and prosperity of Kosovo.'
Delivering a speech at the event he attended, Fidan stated that he brought greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey and expressed that he saw the advice given by President Erdoğan when he visited Mamusha in 2010 had been fulfilled.
Minister Fidan recounted that during his time as President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in the early 2000s, they did everything in their power in Mamusha alongside all their colleagues.
Stating that Mamusha has made great progress over the years and that the people of Mamusha are shown as an example to the rest of Kosovo for their diligence, Fidan expressed that the hard work, honesty, skills, and discipline of the people of Mamusha are appreciated by all segments in Kosovo.
Hakan Fidan noted that they are the exemplary continuation of the Turkish presence in the Balkans for 600 years, saying, 'By protecting your language, your identity, your religion, your unity, and everything you have, you have managed to reach these days despite all the difficulties and all the impossibilities. May you exist, thank you.'
FIDAN EMPHASIZED KOSOVO'S UNITY AND SECURITY
Drawing attention to their sensitivity and diligence, especially in protecting their language, culture, and faith, Fidan continued:
'Turks in Kosovo are a part of Kosovo. You are truly living in great peace and tranquility here with our other Albanian brothers, Bosniak brothers, and other brothers. As Turkey, we truly attach great importance to the unity, integrity, security, peace, and prosperity of Kosovo. As you know, Turkey is the first country to recognize Kosovo from the very first day it became independent.'
Stating that they support Kosovo in all international and diplomatic environments, Fidan emphasized that they are working with all their might to bring cooperation in many fields such as investment, tourism, education, health, and technology to the highest level.
Foreign Minister Fidan explained that Turkey is making every effort to ensure that the state established in Kosovo can provide services to its citizens with the facilities, capabilities, and infrastructure that a modern independent state should possess.
'PEACE AND STABILITY ARE IN EVERYONE'S INTEREST'
Pointing out that they support all peace and negotiation efforts put forward by the international community and regional organizations to the end, Fidan used the expressions, 'The arrival and continuation of peace and stability in the region is in everyone's interest. We believe that peace, stability, and tranquility are for the benefit of everyone, including all regional countries and all regional peoples, especially Turks, Turkey, and Albanians.'
Hakan Fidan referred to President Erdoğan's initiatives and the relationships he has developed for peaceful solutions in the region, stating that they are doing their best to resolve the problems.
Emphasizing that the Turkish presence in Kosovo is a presence far above any geostrategic definition, interest, or strategy, Fidan requested that this be kept in mind.
Fidan pointed out that it is extremely important for the people there to invest more, enter the business world, receive more education, and most importantly, support each other, saying that they will be more vibrant and stronger when solidarity is achieved.
