"Fuel at Al-Quds Hospital will run out within 48 hours"
The Palestine Red Crescent Society has warned that the fuel at Al-Quds Hospital, which houses hundreds of wounded people and thousands of displaced persons in Gaza, will run out within 48 hours.
In a written statement, the Red Crescent emphasized that the fuel used to operate Al-Quds Hospital's generators will run out within 48 hours, which will result in resuscitation equipment and intensive care units becoming non-operational.
The statement noted that in addition to a shortage of medical supplies and medicine, there is a severe lack of food and drinking water for health personnel, patients, and the wounded, and that more than 14 thousand displaced people have been staying at the hospital for over three weeks.
The statement called on international institutions and organizations working in the health and aid sectors to urgently deliver aid and necessary supplies to Gaza.
Furthermore, the statement noted that Israeli forces are preventing the entry of essential components required for the continued operation of ambulances and emergency vehicles, the functioning of Al-Quds Hospital, and the provision of aid to displaced people there.
