Funeral ceremony held in Tabriz for Iranian President Raisi
A ceremony is being held in Tabriz for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and other officials who lost their lives in a helicopter crash on May 19. The funeral service will be held at the Grand Mosalla Mosque.

The first day of the ceremonies, which are expected to last for several days, began in Tabriz. According to Iranian Vice President Mohsen Mansouri, after the funeral prayer to be held here, the bodies will be transported to the capital, Tehran, and the funeral ceremony will continue at the Grand Mosalla Mosque.
HELICOPTER CRASH
President Raisi attended a dam inauguration ceremony on the Iran-Azerbaijan border yesterday. On his return, the helicopter carrying Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and some other officials crashed.
Upon Iran's request, Turkey deployed an Akıncı unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) for search and rescue operations. The coordinates of the helicopter wreckage identified by the Akıncı UAV were shared with Iranian authorities.
Iranian teams that reached the identified location determined that there were no survivors from the crash.
