The 4-story residence where Bashar al-Assad and his family lived is located in the Malki neighborhood of Damascus.
The residence is adjacent to the mansion where Hafez al-Assad lived while he was alive. It is stated that after Hafez's death, the mansion remained with Bashar's sister, Bushra al-Assad.

Pictures of Bashar al-Assad's brother Basil al-Assad, who lost his life in a traffic accident in 1994, some negative photo rolls, children's magazines, card games, and copies of international magazines featuring Bashar and Asma al-Assad are scattered around.

It was predicted that if Basil al-Assad had not lost his life in a traffic accident in 1994, he would have been the heir to Hafez, the leader of the Ba'ath Party at the time, and would have taken over the regime.

BUNKER AND TUNNEL NETWORK UNDER THE HOUSE
The house where Bashar al-Assad lived connects to the adjacent mansion, where his father Hafez al-Assad used to live, via a basement connection.

A very long tunnel leads to the bunker beneath the building.

At the entrance of the bunker, there is a thick and heavy vacuum door that acts as armor, resistant to high-explosive power.

In addition to guest rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms, the bunker also contains signs indicating where the tunnels lead.

One of the signs leads to the state guest house near the residence, known as the "Damascus Hall," where Bashar al-Assad held official meetings.

Security forces serving in the area stated that it has not yet been determined what the mansion will be used for now, and that it is being considered to be turned into a museum in the future.
