Haribo crisis: Drug scandal spreads to 3 countries! 'Do not consume under any circumstances'

The Haribo crisis is growing! Haribo products found to contain drugs are being recalled in two more countries following the Netherlands. As the investigation spreads to many countries, authorities have issued a warning to consumers.

BEING RECALLED IN TWO MORE COUNTRIES

Following a complaint made due to a child's illness, tests revealed that some Haribo products contained drugs. After the Netherlands, a recall decision was issued for the products in Belgium and Luxembourg as well.

HOW WAS IT DISCOVERED?

The scandal erupted after a family in the Netherlands felt unwell after consuming the product. The complaints that emerged were mostly dizziness. After tests were conducted, traces of drugs were found. So far, drugs have been detected in many packages.

Authorities emphasized that consumers in the mentioned countries should absolutely not consume the relevant products until the investigation is concluded.

It is not yet known how the drugs contaminated the candies named Haribo Happy Cola F!ZZ.
