Pope Francis, who passed away at the age of 88, met with the public one last time by attending the Palm Sunday Mass despite his illness, offering his wishes to the Christian world for Holy Week. The final footage of the Pope has also emerged.
According to the Christian faith, "Palm Sunday," known as the commemoration of Jesus' final entry into Jerusalem before being "crucified" and the joy of the people who took to the streets waving palm leaves, was celebrated with a mass held in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican, attended by approximately 20,000 people.
Pope Francis had met with the public and prayed on Palm Sunday following his illness.
In the final part of the mass, the Pope arrived in St. Peter's Square in a wheelchair to greet the faithful and said, "Happy Palm Sunday, I wish you a happy Holy Week."
