The grim toll of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Iran has emerged
In the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred yesterday morning in Iran's Khuzestan province, 29 people were injured and 296 houses were damaged. While aid was rapidly dispatched to the region, authorities established a crisis center for the earthquake victims.
The toll of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred yesterday at 07:32 local time in the city of Haftgel, located in Iran's Khuzestan province, has been determined.
Khuzestan Governor Mohammad Reza Mavalizadeh stated in his announcement that a total of 29 people were injured in the earthquake, with 28 receiving outpatient treatment and 1 person continuing to receive treatment in the hospital.
Stating that a crisis center was established following the earthquake, Mavalizadeh said, “All assessment, aid, and operation teams were rapidly dispatched to the region.
In the examinations conducted so far, it has been determined that 296 houses were damaged by the earthquake,” he stated.
The earthquake that occurred yesterday at 07:32 local time in the city of Haftgel, located in Iran's Khuzestan province, was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers.
