What should Turkey's stance be in the Iran-Israel tension? ASAL Research results reveal
According to an ASAL Research survey, 39.6 percent of the Turkish public wants Turkey to remain neutral in the Israel-Iran conflict. The rate of those supporting the idea of mediation is 25.5 percent.
ASAL Research asked 2,012 citizens, "What should Turkey's stance be in the war between Iran and Israel?"
39.6 percent of the survey participants argued that Turkey should remain 'neutral' in this war.
The rate of those who think Turkey should act as a mediator was 25.5 percent.
A segment of 17 percent said, 'It should not be on Israel's side, but it should also keep its distance from Iran.'
Those who said 'It should be on Iran's side' were 7.5 percent.
While the rate of those who said 'Turkey should be on Israel's side' was 2.3 percent, the rate of those who said "No opinion/No answer" was 8.1 percent.
