Wildfires continue in 5 separate locations in Los Angeles

An AA team is on-site covering the latest situation regarding the wildfires that continue to affect the city of Los Angeles.

The fires, which moved away from the city center due to a shift in wind direction, continue in 5 separate locations.

While firefighting teams continue their efforts in the Topanga region of Los Angeles to prevent the flames from reaching residential areas, many local residents are being evacuated.

According to meteorological data, winds are expected to pick up again in some areas, and evacuation decisions are being made based on this data.

While aerial intervention with helicopters continues, firefighters on the ground are working to prevent the flames from spreading to homes within the forested areas.

Meanwhile, the California National Guard, which is supporting firefighting efforts with 8,000 personnel, and regional police have established checkpoints at the entrances and exits of evacuated areas to prevent looting and theft.

The National Guard, standing watch at these points with armored personnel carriers and full equipment, will also support search and rescue and debris removal efforts.

The number of people who lost their lives due to the ongoing fires in the US city of Los Angeles had risen to 10.

In the fires, more than 10,000 structures were damaged or rendered completely unusable.
