Reactions are rising within the Israeli government following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's positive approach to US President Donald Trump's plan aimed at reaching a ceasefire decision in the Gaza Strip and establishing a lasting peace.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich criticized Netanyahu's acceptance of the decision to end the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) occupation of Gaza, stating, "Prime Minister Netanyahu's decision to end the attacks and conduct negotiations is a serious mistake."
