Ghalibaf: There is no such thing as radical or moderate factions in Iran
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated, "There is no such thing as radical or moderate factions in Iran. We are all 'Iranians' and 'revolutionaries.' With the iron-clad unity of the people and the government, and full obedience to the Supreme Leader (Mojtaba Khamenei), we will make the aggressive criminals regret their actions."
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a new statement following claims by U.S. officials regarding a "division" within the Iranian leadership.
In a statement on his social media account, Ghalibaf said, "There is no such thing as radical or moderate factions in Iran. We are all 'Iranians' and 'revolutionaries.' With the iron-clad unity of the people and the government, and full obedience to the Supreme Leader (Mojtaba Khamenei), we will make the aggressive criminals regret their actions."
Ghalibaf added, "One leader, one nation, and one path; and this path is the path of victory, which is more valuable to Iran than life itself."
White House: "There is internal division in Iran"
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, speaking to reporters at the White House yesterday, addressed U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks on extending the ceasefire with Iran, stating, "The President is showing some flexibility toward a regime that has lost credibility due to Operation 'Epic Fury,' and he is offering this generously. There is clearly an internal division in Iran. There is currently a struggle between pragmatists and hardliners, and the President wants to see a unified response."
