Google releases Paris Olympics-themed doodle
Google has added a doodle prepared for the Paris Olympics to the collection of doodles it releases for special occasions.
The games, hosted by France, will open with a ceremony on the Seine River. This marks the first time in the history of the Olympic Games that the opening ceremony will be held outside the stadium where the competitions will take place.
With the doodle prepared for this special day, Google has essentially made a nod to this opening.
In Paris, where approximately 16 million tourists are expected for the games, 10,500 athletes from 206 delegations will participate in the event, which is being held after 100 years.
The opening ceremony of the games, which will begin at 19:30 local time in Paris (20:30 Turkish time), will last 3.5 hours.
When the doodle is clicked, users are directed to a page featuring current information and news about the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, as well as highlights of competitions and news.
In the visual on the Google homepage, some cartoon animal figures can be seen.
The Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11.
